2003-06 Scenery Idents (New Soundtrack)

On Thursday 3rd November 2005, UTV relaunched their scenery idents onto our screens with brand new soundtracks. The infamous UTV jingle had finally made a comeback after more than 3 years, but with a slight twist. There were three variations of the soundtrack created, a slow version used before news and serious programming, another for use into general programming and a third faster version for use before more upbeat programming. The relaunch of these idents brought an end to UTV Day, with all traces of it dropped from this date onwards. It also meant a reappearance of many of the older idents which had long since graced our screens. The idents were finally withdrawn on Sunday 15th January 2006, the evening before the January relaunch. The pictures and clips below show these new idents, while the originals can still be seen here.
